Um, excuse me, but I seem to have misplaced my summer...have you seen it anywhere?

This summer went ridiculously quickly. Probably because I spent so little time at home. I mean, I did go on a 12-day vacation and then went to Waldsee for 4 weeks. But even those things in themselves went really fast. My time at Waldsee didn't seem any longer than last year, when I only went for 2 weeks. It's crazy. Then I came home and I've had to read for AP English. And I've practically completed 2 college applications. It seems so weird. I'm excited for college, but it still seems like I have a lot of time left...but I don't. It's just kind of weird to think about.

On the other hand, I'm still as procrastinate-y as always. I've still got over 200 pages of A Tale of Two Cities and the entirety of A Doll House to read. In 2 days.

i miss waldsee...you don't even know. it went so quickly this year, even though it's the longest i've gone. i hate only being able to see these people once a year. they're amazing. i hereby invite all waldsee people to fargo! yeah....okay....i understand no one wants to come here. neither do i, frankly.

okay, so i leave on monday.

My stomach hurts....

Ever since I heard that Whitney Carlson died, I've had this awful feeling in the pit of my stomach. Things like this really make you think that you or someone you know could die at any time. It's kind of scary. You think death is many years away, but it happens to people our age, too. I just want to cry, and I didn't even know her that well. She was in my French class, and she was always nice to me. Her smile could light up the whole room and she had a great sense of humor. I may not have been close to her, but I know she will be missed. Her family and close friends are in my thoughts. I am so so sorry.
